Digital Sukkah

Shana Tovah Umetukah

On each night of Sukkot there is a custom to invite ancestors who personify positive attributes. We welcome into the sukkah our ushpizin—honored guests—who become our spiritual companions for the night.

The RAVSAK Board and Staff wish you a shana tovah umetukah—a good and sweet year.

RAVSAK schools welcome children and families from across the spectrum of Jewish life.  Our schools and their students embody the attributes we celebrate in our ushpizin.  This year, as RAVSAK’s Rosh Hashanah greeting, we have chosen to describe how the values of the ushpizin are embodied in Jewish day schools and their students. Please click on the image on the right side to download a pdf version of the card.

We have invited our schools, students and supporters of Jewish day schools to join us in one “big sukkah” to celebrate the many ways Jewish day school education builds and nurtures the Jewish future. Please click below for the RAVSAK digital sukkah filled with photographs of RAVSAK’sushpizin visiting in homes and sukkahs around the world.

Are you looking for a project to decorate your sukkah, either by yourself or with a classroom of children? Please click on the right to download a printable Rosh Hashanah ushpizin card ready for decoration.
